Chelsea shouldn't have sacked Poch. Despite Chelsea's season long struggles one thing they've never failed to do is play good football, the results just didn't start coming in until the end. There was an upward trajectory with Poch, the players were becoming familiarised with his football, Poch became familiarised with the players he has and they found a way to gel in the end. Chelsea scored 77 goals this League season, just over twice the amount they scored in the previous campaign so Poch managed to address and fix the attacking problems which he deserves credit for. Only 3 points off Spurs who were at one stage much better than Chelsea is also commendable too. Poch has a proven track record and would've been able to take this team even higher and the project could've continued.

The issue isn't necessarily that Poch, C.G and Trevoh are impossible to replace - it's just that now you are back to square one. The fact the owners seemed to only have an issue with Poch when he started playing players they didn't want him to start is very concerning - if Trevoh is being sold to balance the books for Disasi then you have very much got worse just as keeping Cucurella and selling Hall/Maatsen as well letting CHO go for peanuts in place for Mudryk has made you worse. If I was a Chelsea fan I'd have absolutely zero faith that the owners get things right - at least with Poch you could see some progress but now you are back to square one. Also there is no way Palmer does what he did this season with a more possession-based coach next season - Poch gave him the freedom to succeed.
