Ben Whites new deal is finally official! One of my personal favourites in the team. Supreme shithouser and also a superb player. Had many doubters from day one and still kinda does, but he continues to prove those people wrong. The way Arsenal have been re-signing players these last couple seasons is honestly just awesome, and something I don't think gets mentioned often enough by many fans. That alone is a sign of how far we've come; players want to come here in the first place, and they also want to stay.

The UCL is a competition that requires big moments and big players to step up to those moments. Saka, Saliba faltered today. But Raya and Odegaard showed up day and got us over the line. Which is all that matters. Who will be those players for us going forwards? I said a couple days ago that you can play massively good football but it’s these moments that make world class and elite level players and elite level teams. Imo today was the biggest step towards that for Odegaard in his entire career. That said, we’ll need a few more players to step up if we have any chance at silverware this season. Rice, Havertz, Saka, Jesus, Martinelli, Saliba, Gabriel? The stage is yours!

It feels like we are set up to finish the season strong whilst last season felt like we were holding on for dear life. We are in a very good position both this season and going into future seasons with this squad. Very satisfied with how my club is operating.

I am starting to believe in the league title more than last season at the same time. One reason. Defence. Our defence looks much more solid than Liverpool or City. We have much more depth in defence than last season. Currently we have out Timber, Tomiyasu, Zinchenko and its not affected us. City is defensively very very shaky and Liverpool depth is not as good as our imo. I think we are in much better position than ppl and media think.

I don't expect all signings to be winners and I think overall Arteta, Edu and co have performed well in the market, but the Havertz deal was absolute insanity and fucked us for this season. Useless player that didn't make us better and actually made us less dynamic, not to mention tying up funds that could have been used for a real level raiser. We're not really in position to win EPL or CL with the current squad and it's obvious. We are close, but 1 or 2 pieces away. I think the Havertz deal totally set our progress back at least 12 months and we may have missed our opportunity to go up a level with another player.
