I don't expect all signings to be winners and I think overall Arteta, Edu and co have performed well in the market, but the Havertz deal was absolute insanity and fucked us for this season. Useless player that didn't make us better and actually made us less dynamic, not to mention tying up funds that could have been used for a real level raiser. We're not really in position to win EPL or CL with the current squad and it's obvious. We are close, but 1 or 2 pieces away. I think the Havertz deal totally set our progress back at least 12 months and we may have missed our opportunity to go up a level with another player.

Makes sense tbh We could have signed a LCM or a striker. We signed a player that "can" be both but it's not that good at any of the positions.

I don't really agree with Arteta benching Ramsdale, in particular for Raya. Ramsdale despite not being the best goalkeeper out there always did a good job when called upon. Also if you're going to replace Ramsdale don't do it with Raya, because Raya is not that much better than Ramsdale, is older, and Ramsdale helps count for the Homegrown Quota. If you're going to replace Ramsdale at-least do it with a really class Goalkeeper like a Maignan, or Diogo Costa etc.

Decided to take the gamble on EAFC 24 and got it for very cheap this week. Easily the worst FIFA I've owned. Easily.
