How long has it been since we've had a team that fought so hard and so sincerely? I remember players who had their moments, or a team that chose its matches, but this isn't the same thing. Everyone's involved and that's what I like. Mama Baldé's work is monstrous (he should be renamed Papa Baldé) because he really put his balls on the table tonight.

Mama Mbappe does it again. Who can imagine it? This guy couldn't dribble a football until Sage arrived, and now look at him. He is only good for 20 minutes but damn the best 20 minutes of football is what you get in 2024 from Mr. Mama! This team is totally insane. Horrible defensively as usual, but who cares? Crazy character, incredible quality and contribution from the substitutes, so proud of these guys yet again. They drive me crazy but in the back of my mind I just know we will fight back.

I was only able to watch the game after the 65th minute but yea the substitutes made a huge difference again! And even though Cherki missed some big chances, he was so dangerous and disruptive from the moment he came on. Deserves a lot of credit today. He always craps on Monaco I love it LOL

Yea totally, that's a great assessment of what went wrong for us yesterday. I'm just a little annoyed that we treated this match as a "training match" when I still feel like there is a lot to play for in the league. Why give PSG confidence going into the final with us? It's not like we are playing every 3-4 days. I wish we had a more serious approach to this match. And like you said, it is clear we cannot play with 4 attackers and 2 midfielders.

I feel this game was more like a “training match” to experiment something new than a real game. By putting Cherki in this game I feel like Sage was trying to see if we could play in 4-2-3-1 but as expected, we can’t. Especially because our defense is our weakest point. When we have the ball, our team is divided in 2 blocks that make easier for opponents to attack. We are not a team that can press (for now) when we don’t have the ball, we are more like a defensive team. Personally, I am not that worried because the real game will be the final

We took a huge risk tactically today and it didn't work out. I'm surprised we went with 4-2-3-1 when 4-3-3 has worked so well for us, we exposed the middle of the pitch way too much and we got punished. I doubt we play this way vs PSG in the Cup Final but I would love to know why we decided to change things today.

Yep! And miraculously, we are only 6 pts back of Europa in the league now too. We have a super difficult league schedule though to end the year (next 4 matches against all top 4 sides in the league), so winning the cup is gonna be our best bet

That play from Balde was crazy, to receive the pass with his left foot and back turned to the halfway line with his first touch, and his second touch to burn the defender, he really has world class pace. In situations where we can play on the counter he can be very dangerous with his speed. It was an awesome play and I'm happy we're finding a way to get something out of him this season.

Yea man! The depth of talent on the bench is crazy right now, bringing Nuamah Fofana and Benrahma is a luxury. Just need to find a way to get Gift Orban going. I also thought that overall we played a decent game, especially considering that Sage changed a lot of things. I thought Tolisso did a decent job playing the deep role, although I was surprised to see it since Matic has been so effective there. I thought Max had a difficult game though it seemed like he lost some of his rhythm over the two week break. He wasn't bad just sloppy with the ball. But you can tell that Tuesday was the biggest priority.

Would be incredible, we got an easy draw in the semis at home vs the bottom side of Ligue 2. Most likely will face either Rennes or PSG in the final though, so won't be easy (Rennes always play PSG well so that match is really 50/50)

That's hilarious, fans that want us to be like Lens who have had their main core players, manager and system in place for over 3 years now. And they want a brand new coach and a whole new squad to achieve that. Funny! The reality is Sage deserves a ton of credit, and I cannot possibly imagine anyone leading the team next season, unless we have a catastrophic finish to this season and get relegated.
