Not gonna lie. I'd rather we go for Ávila from Antwerp than Tagliafico and it's mostly based on Tagliafico's decline through age. Yes, Tagliafico knows the club and the club knows what he can bring but he already struggled during his last season at the club since it became clear he lacks some pace. I can only imagine that it's gotten a little worse. Besides that, Ajax is very bad at masking it own defenders' weaknesses. We seen that with the likes of de Ligt, Timber, Blind, Rensch, Sanchez, Bassey and others. I fear Tagliafico's weakness will be exploited too often. I would rather we go for Ávila instead despite never having seen him play. Apparently, he's got a few interesting qualities. Ah wonderful, yet another Ajax player who's already being overrated and overhyped for no good reason. When will people finally come to realize that players from the Eredivisie are nothing but mediocre 99% of the time? The only exception as of now may be Sinisterra, but that's about it.

We will have a bad season. We probably should play with Sanchez-Timber-Bassey-Wijndal Taylor-Alvarez-Kudus and Conceicao-Brobbey-Bergwijn. It is a young team with physique, pace and technique. However Schreuder rather plays with Tadic, Berghuis, Klaassen, Ocampos, Blind, etc. who are over their peak (although Tadic still great on the left) and are physically not as good. He also plays Kudus out of position on the 9 just so he doesn't have to bench big names. It is like he plays fut where he wants to have high ratings on the pitch rather than career mode where he tries to create the best team and develop players. Worse thing is that the chances are still very high we end up winning the league and he stays for another year and still plays with the big names. But for Europe his starting 11 just aint it. He plays so many players out of position just to have the big names on the game sheet while the talents look better because they are specialists for that position.

I'm probably one of the few people who thinks he's overrated. 80 is a fine rating atm but I don't see him getting higher than 83 tbh. He's not a big game player at all. We could've bought Mudryk for around the same price..
