The signings at zero cost (Christensen, Gundogan, Kessié, Aubameyang...) have worked wonders for us, and we should focus more on not letting options like Guido Rodríguez slip away and use the money on objective needs of players that really give you a leap in quality.

Our strategy of signing promising young players will somewhat backfire for several reasons 1. Spending lots of money and statistically most of them will not reach their potential 2. The team will struggle to progress without proven pros which will only spur the mood at the club 3. Young players need seasoned pros to mature them and help them improve 4. It seems that character is not important in the recruiting strategy. All that is looked at is potential. There’s a risk of the club culture turning into one that is the opposite of class and professionalism.

The team desperately needs some proven and seasoned, ambitious players now to mix with this squad.
