Super pissed Leverkusen lost, but I'm glad you guys won. A terrific project years in the making with great players and an elite manager. Congrats guys.

Four years ago the scenes on the news from Bergamo were heartbreaking. I am guessing that it is a happier town tonight.

90% of good managers are midfielders, defenders or goalkeepers, as they see the game in a more constructive way, in addition to having a higher "football IQ". Very rarely will we see a striker or a winger being a good manager, as I consider them to be dumber tactically. Before anyone says it, I consider Cruyff more of a "10" than a "9".

I wanted leverkusen to win but atalanta still definitely deserved the win and outplayed leverkusen completely while beating liverpool on the way there, lots of respect to them
avatar
very deserved. a lot of people (including me) were rooting for the undefeated treble, but come on, this guys deserved it more. Eliminated Liverpool, Sporting and OM and today they not only took away Bayer's invincibility but also gave it a class of football. looked like professionals against hood smoke team
avatar
While Leverkusen were undefeated, they were struggling in many games recently just to draw them in the end
avatar
And how so? After how Atalanta thrashed Liverpool, nobody should've expected an easy game for Leverkusen
avatar
Safe to say that that is the shock of the season

N'Dicka collapsed. He was conscious when the medics strechered him off and, after about 10 minutes, officials decided to suspend the game. Eagerly awaiting news and pray that he is okay.
avatar
Update: He is being taken to the hospital for tests.

Update: N'Dicka is out of immediate danger. He will be staying at the hospital for subsequent testing.

What I'd personally do this summer: SELL: Belotti (5M€), Shomurodov (2M€), Kumbulla (5M€), Karsdorp (3M€), Zalewski (15M€), Abraham (25M€) OUT OF CONTRACT: Smalling, Rui Patricio, Azmoun, Renato Sanches, Kristensen, Huijsen REDEEM: Llorente, Angelino BUY: Schuurs (15M€), Diakité (8M€), Thiago Alcantara (0€), Castrovilli (0€), Nandez (0€), K.Thuram (15M€), Darboe (End of loan), Berardi (20M€), Rafa Silva (0€), Batshuayi (0€), Guirassy (17.5M€, Release Clause). If not Guirassy, since BvB and Milan are also interested, then Pavlidis around the same price. If Sassuolo stays, Berardi's price would be much higher, therefore I'd move on Zhegrova around 15M. Svilar _______ Diakité Schuurs Mancini Spinazzola / Angelino _______ Paredes Cristante / Thuram Pellegrini _______ El Sharaawy / Rafa Guirassy Dybala / Berardi

Generally had quite a poor first touch against St. Louis. They were bullying him all game with their high pressing

I don't think it's very realistic. Rafa probably has offers from middle eastern clubs and financially stronger European clubs. If he really decides to join Stuttgart, it would have to be a passion project. As for other signings, it probably depends on which key players leave us and whether or not we permanently sign Undav and Leweling. I personally feel like Ito is a possible departure many don't have in mind
avatar
Our former sporting director, Mislintat, is the reason for that. He always had an eye for Japanese players. He found top Japanese players like Kagawa for Dortmund and Ito and Endo for us

editor is asleep - Demirovic, Tietz, Gumny and Jensen deserved upgrades
avatar
Demirovic 77, Tietz 74, Gumny 73 and Jensen 74. Also Dahmen and Pedersen to 74.
avatar
It is a good squad but not compared to most other teams in the Bundesliga. But there has been a lot of passion and fighting spirit shown lately, the new coach is pretty good actually.
avatar
Nice club Hopefully they get europe
avatar
we lost against Dortmund, Stuttgart and Frankfurt - that's not really a bottle, that's just better teams being better the Bremen loss was the only avoidable loss, but even with a win there we wouldn't have made it
avatar
Going to Matchday 34 with: - Leverkusen (H) facing 4L streak Augsburg to maintain the invincibility; - Stuttgart (H) needing a good combination of results to qualify for the 2024 Supercup, having to win against M'Gladbach and hope both München (A) losses to Hoffenheim and Leverkusen wins the Pokal. Odds are in Bayern's favor, though; - Frankfurt (H) needing at least a draw against 4th place Leipzig, so they don't depend on Hoffenheim's (H) result to keep UEL spot. In case of Frankfurt L + Hoffenheim W, tiebreakers may go against Eintracht, both have close to 0 in goal difference, the former +1 and the later having -2, but with way more goals scored; - Favorable numbers potentially rewarding 4-unwinning-streak Freiburg (A), who could sneak in Hoffenheim's 7th place and compete in the 24/25 Conference League; - Bochum (A vs. Bremen), Mainz (A vs. Wolfsburg) and Union (H vs. Freiburg) fighting against the Relegation Play-Offs, while Köln travels to Heidenheim with high hopium to get in the Play-Offs to escape from automatic relegation; - Heidenheim, Augsburg, Bremen, Wolfsburg and Gladbach fighting for nothing but prize money based on their position by the end of the Matchday, while Dortmund, Leipzig and Darmstadt have nothing to win or lose (other than the prize of the result, of course).

Nah i've only read all of Allegri's post game antics now and bro is a menace😭Love how he's celebrating with Gatti and gesturing the football director to fuck off at the same time💀Players seem to love him too i can sense karma coming for Juve next season.
avatar
Well, he won't.. think about it why should they immediately sack max while they're not sure about motta.. it's done man, motta will announce it soon
avatar
It would be funny as fudge if Motta tells us "Yeah Imma stay at Bologna" 😂
avatar
Yeah, don't know about bonucci, but Gosens and Volland were definitely adding quality to the squad. I do like the argument that they forgot what worked, defending collectively with scattered counter attacks. They were deadly like that, effective, therefore the over performance vs xG last year
avatar
good signings is wrong, they completely neglected what made them big in the first place, namely signing some so-so players and making them into a good squad, it went downhill once they signed the big names (Volland, Bonucci, Gosens (although he performs)) also, don't forget they were massively overperforming last season in terms of xG, some players like Becker, Ronnow, Juranovic, Schäfer don't reach the same level as back then or have been injured a lot they just kinda went in a downward spiral with those UCL blows (late goal conceded in Bernabéu, 2-0 lead blown vs Braga)

Okay 👍 I just thought Mikautadze would be an option due to him not fitting in well so far at Ajax and being linked to Serie A clubs previously but I suppose you’re right because of Cairo. Instead of him, How about Myron Boadu (Linked with Torino) as an option for left striker? Or would you just stick with Sanabria
avatar
As a nostalgic fan yes, as a member of Torino staff idk...we have 2 good strikers and the way that Andrea left us + wage + age will make me say no
avatar
BREXIT MEANS BREXIT FOR THE BADGE SON 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
avatar
Papetti from Brescia, Caligara from Ascoli and maybe Tramoni from Pisa should be enough considering they have good enough alternatives for Serie B and with decent potential.
avatar
Thanks, also your English is great. Probably he will leave at the end of the season but I hope that the sentence of "Europe or leave" was a way of motivate the fans and the squad and be a little bit more ambicius, due the continuous question about what the team could achive. Honestly due is good reputation and not old age I thinks that he will continue to manage in a Top5 League team and comeback in Croatia maybe in future
avatar
I heard that he will stay at Torino if they get a spot in a European competition, if not he might leave. Hajduk Split seems to view him as an option but he would have offers from other teams as well in better leagues so it is unlikely he comes to Hajduk. Also, your English is great! (Google translate)

(Sorry for my English) A very good manager that make comeback to life some player (Rodriguez, Linetty, Djidji) and devolope other (Buongiorno, Bremer, Bellanova...) One of the best for the defensive phase but a little bit too static in the attaccking one. Nowadays he rapresent very well the Torino spirit and deserve to be confirmed because for the first time he will play a season without changing half team due the fact that all of them where on loan. Maybe is not the perfect manager to start a project like the Atalanta one or he is not just at European spot level...but I don't see any better option to replace him
avatar
I might be late to this... but: -sell pellegri -turn lazaro in a RM and then sell him -Sell Randonjic -sell linetty -Sign Zapata -Sign Okereke -Sign Depaoli -Sign Bradaric -Sign Pinamonti -Sign Lovric
avatar
How is Lazios financial situation? What is a realistic budget to start a career? Do they have to sell in order to buy or do they even have to make profit in transfer windows? Also maybe considering the buyclauses for Guendouzi, Rovella and Pellegrini. And what’s the situation with Marcos Antonio? In EA FC 24 he’s a player of PAOK, but on Transfermarkt he’s a Lazio Player, who’s only out on lone.
