Idgaf about the rating, I don't play this stupid game. Today against city he was class from the moment he came in. Every ball went trough him before becoming dangerous. He plays with such patience and wisdom, not to mention every corner kick was a menace. I just love to watch this man play. He's the last one standing from the generation I grew up with. Currently there's KDB, Mbappé, Valverde, Julián Álvarez, Vini.. they're all great, but when this man retires (or leaves Europe) my enthusiasm for the sport will drop. I saw the greatest generation of football history on their prime, and that's as good as it gets.

don't know why people hate psg so much. they do spend obscene amounts of money, but so do prem clubs. psg actually have good fans as well, unlike man city fans for example. and psg are not even a threat to dominating european football, they are nowhere near (unlike prem clubs). i would understand hating a team that has bought success, but psg have bought nothing (yet). i waste too much energy defending psg on this website

As of now Saudi footballing structures are a bit lacking and the culture is a bit too big-team focused (there's not as many smaller club fans) which I assume the Saudi FA is trying to work on. But the thing is that, if this eventually improves it will push fellow Asian FAs/clubs to invest more and hopefully push the entire confederation forward. Not every Asian country has Middle Eastern money but Asian Cup proved that multiple nations can compete regardless, there's many competitive Asian clubs already from all across the continent, the sport is growing and the talent is definitely there. And at the end of the day football becoming less Eurocentric is a win for everyone, unless you're European and are jealous or something. Apparently hoarding all world football talent by one continent is not enough for some people.

Lazy take and inaccurate. If this was two years ago or even last year I'd agree with you, but that's not true of the squad this season and wasn't true at all against Dortmund. They have a set style of play and patterns of play they use regularly they played the same hybrid 4-3-3/4-2-4 yesterday that they've been playing all season. They had to adapt to Dortmund going all-out attacking, but they still kept to the same principles of possession-based play that they have all season. They attacked as a team and defended as a team. The only person who didn't run back at every opportunity was Mbappe who's purposefully left high to play the counter. Nobody took things on and tried to do it all themselves, they played the game plan and it worked. If their finishing had even been just a little bit better that match could have easily ended 4-1 to PSG.
