That's alright, I'm ecstatic too xD And, yeah, I've had the (mis)fortune of watching most of our games this season...
Regardless, I was just responding to how you said "horrible football tonight", and I was like... well, it surely wasn't beautiful to watch but it was still a very disciplined game from both sides, neither of which is particularly technical.
Team - Fiorentina
italiano is a genius, how in the fuck do you arrive to a european final with a team this bad
Team - Fiorentina
Terracciano's shoulders are going to hurt later from having carried the team throughout the final.
Team - Fiorentina
Nzola might be the worst player I’ve ever watched. Brought on for physicality and didn’t win a single challenge or header. Honestly shocking to watch.

Greek League need to comeback to the game.

Oh yea my bad, I used to watch him at Villarreal, I also have a friend named Vicente.

This is what Conference League is meant for. Great winner, congrats.

If Fiorentina didn't have the chances they did in the first half, I'd say this was a flawless game by Olympiacos. Mendilibar's approach reminds me of Pedro Martins's rigid defense work in the Europa League, playing with a variable press (sometimes low sometimes really high) and looking to hit on the counter. Unfortunately the players in Mendilibar's team just aren't as versatile as Martins's peak squad was, which is why Mendilibar's squad is far more limited in what it can do with this game plan.

The whole losing thing aside, I really liked the new approach Ange took to the game, the weird 433/4312 hybrid where Son and Johnson were out wide and cutting in or staying wide and letting the midfielders attack through the narrow. The double false 9 or double 10's whatever you want to call them looked really good in connecting the midfield to attack which is something we have struggled with recently. The lower and more compact block had everyone looking much more comfortable and secure when defending as well instead of every long ball over our usual high line having every player start panicking until VDV starts screaming "NYOM" and chases after it. Right now we cannot test the waters of a back 3 even if we are playing against Sheffield purely because Emerson or Skipp will get sacrificed at LWB but next season if we go in with a back 3 (3421) to have that extra defender to provide more natural defensive security and the back 3 to provide width in defence without giving up spaces down the middle would also help Udogie and Porro to roam forward as well as ge tthe best of a potential double 10 or double false 9 lineup of Kulu and Madders who both looked good in that set up even though they were only on the pitch together for about 35 minutes until Madders was subbed off. Having them drop deep and dictate the play and move the ball up would also be best for Son. Son was really good at ST when he got moved there and recently he has been off the pace but that is mainly down to the players around him not being up to pace. Son's main job like it was at the start when he was balling out at ST was to stay forward, break the defensive line and finish attacks but due to Madders being injured and then both Madders and Kulu being off form, Lo Celso being in and out of the squad, and Werner and Johnson having no ability to recycle possession. All of that workload fell to Son which is why he has to start dropping deep, start having to link up play, having to recycle possession, it is because no one else was doing it. With Madders and Kulu in that double 10 role playing more centrally and playing closer to goal with the ability to drop deep, that will unlock Son to stay forward and finish the attacks which is why he was scoring so much when he was moved to ST at the start of the season.

Scored three goals at a match against that crazy Aston Villa team!! And scored 30 goals this year for Olympiacos! Many many goals at European competitions this year! Incredible CF!

cheeky hatty against Villa, at Villa park
Player - Christos Mandas
After his last year in Greece he should be at least 70/76..

I’ve always said his highlights reel make him seem like he’s world class, another one on the list
Talent alone he could surely be a PL player? Maybe lacking application, tactical knowledge , work ethic etc.

Boavista had something similar happen to them where players would join them for a season before moving to france. They were really close to get relegated because their squad was constantly changing.

4-3-3 with Fortounis at LAM and a midfield 3 of Camara-Alex-Hezze is by far the best formation to use with the current roster. Hope we use it every game.
Also Porozo and Retsos should start together every week
Team - Olympiacos CFP
I'm glad that almost all our transfers are turning out great this year. There's players we need to see more of before we judge like Biancone and Porozo but overall most of our new arrivals have been hits. The only disappointment so far is Scarpa who I pray picks up some pace. I also firmly believe that Omar Richards will do absolutely nothing here and just go straight back to Forest since Ortega is the undisputed starter, but he has time to prove me wrong (if he ever plays lol)
Player - Ángel Di María
His rating is such a joke... this guy is should have at least 86 OVR still because of his age, just for skill he should be higher than that.. but yeah EA Logic..
Team - Olympiacos CFP
Brnic needs more game time, Scarpa and Carvalho not what we need, and Ntoi needs to replace Freire
Player - Christos Mandas
He is much better than that
Player - Luis Palma
Wow seriously underwhelming rating. Expected a 73 minimum based on his season in Greece and how highly rated he seemed to be over there

Enjoy the football. Don’t put any expectations on this team.

Fair play. You guys are playing really nice football, looking forward to the game next week

I’m thinking Perisic should start against low block teams as playing through them becomes really annoying. His ability to pin point a cross through the defense is so important. Solomon against more open teams. Also I loved when Ange moved Deki centrally.

Use Maguire to make other signings look very exciting, a genius tactic from Moyes and the gang
Team - Tottenham Hotspur
It really is a shame that we actually just didn’t build a team around Harry after he gave us so many great memories and years and ultimately he thought his best option is to go to the Bundesliga, like Christ. Another absolute shitshow by the club that started as soon as came 2nd in the league. We didn’t push on instead we just stagnated and the club have itself to blame for not matching the ambitions of Harry and the fans
Team - Tottenham Hotspur
Honestly the perfect game. We got to enjoy the game for 80 minutes, then Dier reminded everyone why he has no right to be in the team. Best of both worlds
Player - Zaidu Sanusi
Oleg's case is the ultimate example of how unscrupulous the internet scam is. For Oleg who had an another amazing season losing only 25 matches in 2.5 seasons, won two championships, played successfully in Europe, became a target of teams from major European leagues and became the biggest sale of Olympiacos in the last seasons together with Sa.
Amazing interceptor, better percentage of accuracy in crosses than Tsimikas who was rested by Koutris, etc. The only shit concerns the perceptive ability of those who "judge", of course they don't want to be evaluated in the same way in their workplace, footballers like him.
