Boyhood West Ham fan (who's friends and family are also West Ham fans) who grew up in East London. Came through the academy and chose to stay despite big clubs being interested in him when he was a teenager. Stayed with us through relegation. Became the captain. Always been "the fan on the pitch" giving 100%. Great leader at every level (greets everyone, even the kitchen staff, every morning and watches the youth teams train). Not afraid to speak out against the club's hierarchy. He's one of us.
avatar
Maybe. We already have tons of youth who are involved, but it is all about making the sport more accessible to our lower classes. To play football in the US you have to pay thousands per year (for a good team), and that isn't feasible for many people in this country, so football in the US currently shuts out potential talent. Not to mention that the US has incredible athletes all across the country. The moment we stop handcuffing ourselves and make football more affordable for all is the moment the US will start to truly grow.

I really like seeing more and more American players playing in big teams and making moves! Do you guys think this is gonna inspire more kids over there to play football and make the sport more popular overtime? I don’t remember seeing this many American players doing good in big leagues in Europe like even 5 years ago. The best they had to look to was Dempsey and Howard - cool, but now they got Pulisic, McKennie, Reyna, Dest, Yedlin, Cannon, Sargent, Adams... pretty exciting shit

Always at the right place at the right time...pretty impressive so far to say the least !

Pogba has done nothing recently. He should be 86, Hendo 85 and Thiago 89
avatar
Depends, offensively Thiago would be miles and miles ahead of Gini. Workrate-wise and defense-wise I’d take Gini atm, as he is pretty solid there. In the Gini role, Gini is better and in the Thiago role, Thiago is better if that makes sense 😜. It just depends on what you want from that midfielder.
avatar
No, Thiago is a better player for sure, but it heavily depends on what you expect from a player. If you want someone that never stops pressing, you get Gini, you want someone that is better on the ball, you get Thiago. Really dont understand all the downvotes though, as I often stated that Thiago>Gini, but simply saying that he will be an upgrade or not heavily depends on what you want to get out of the player. Stating again Thiago is a better football player.

In my country, a fan of Liverpool FC died in 2018 due to a brain tumor. He was the father of a now 10 year old kid who visited hes grave weekly to decorate hes father grave with Liverpool scarfs. After one year, the Liverpool scarfs was stolen from the grave (yeah, I know), so the family reached out to the Liverpool FC fanclub in Norway. Now, the family are being sent scarfs from all over the country, so the son can decorate a scarf on hes father grave for the rest of hes life. Thats what football is all about, and thats what YNWA is all about.

Brescia's president : "Barcelona offered 65M€ for him in January and Manchester United offered 10M€ more than Milan a week ago + a bigger salary to Sandro. But when Sandro heard of Milan's interest he didn't want anything else. He's a Milanista since he's a child." It's great to see that players like that still exist even in 2020

Didnt Bartomeu offer to resign if Messi stayed ? Time for him to fuck off now

I feel so bad for Valencia fans, this situation is absolutely diabolical. Completely at the mercy of an owner who is demonstrably unfit to run the club and seems to care not a whit for the fans who love the team and are devastated by the atrocities they are being made to witness. Ferran gone for half his value. Coquelin gone for half his value. Garay released for nothing when reports firmly suggest he wanted to stay. And the most unforgivable sin - club captain and legend Dani Parejo pushed unceremoniously out the door like so much unwanted garbage and ends up signing for FREE with the club's fierce regional rival. Granted, the effects of the pandemic have hit hard, but this magnitude of incompetence and mismanagement is nevertheless simply unconscionable. This is exactly why clubs must be majority owned by the fans, or at least a representative collective. How many times must we watch ludicrously wealthy, dispassionate, incapable and autocratic ownership utterly wreck clubs and cause them irreparable damage? Leeds, Málaga, Palermo, now Valencia... this makes my blood boil!

the only thing linked with valencia is the second division

You're right that he is a legend of the game, but if you actually did some research before commenting, you would see that he does not advocate for fascism. He was involved in a series of incidents associated with the far-right during his time with Parma, it's true, but these were stupid mistakes he made, and for which he has since apologised. For example, he stupidly chose the number 88 to represent his rebirth after an injury, but he said he was unaware of its Neo-Nazi symbolism and then switched numbers out of respect, and he said that he does not sympathise with those views in any way whatsoever. Regarding the other incident, he found the fascist slogan "boia chi molla" on a school desk, and he didn't know that it originated with the fascists, but he wrote it on his shirt to spur on his teammates, and once again when he was critcised and was made aware of its origins, he apologised for that and denounced those views. Not to mention that most years on social media he will make posts about the Holocaust on Holocaust memorial day, and has shared interviews by prominent Italian Jewish authors and figures who aim to raise awareness about the evils of the Holocaust. If that isn't enough for you, I will also inform you that he has endorsed two centre-left prime ministers, has spoken out against populist politics, he endorsed the constitutional reform that was proposed by the centre-left democratic party, his fiancée is also known for her left-wing political stance, one of his closest friends and business partners is Cristiano Lucarelli, who is known for his far left-wing views, and he also had a close relationship with manager Renzo Ulivieri, who is also known for his left-wing views. Moreover, he has spoken out against homophobia, and while he has certainly had some faux-pas with stupid jokes and things he has said that were offensive, racially insensitive, or weren't politically correct, like the incident with the Asian fan after a game, he has also spoken out against racism in football as well, and has joined UEFA's "respect diversity" programme, and has also attempted to prevent Italian fans from booing opposing national anthems, so calling him a racist is excessive, even though I would argue that most white people are guilty of partaking in systemic racism, even if indirectly; not to mention the fact that Cameroonian legendary goalkeeper Thomas N'Kono is Buffon's idol, and he named one of his sons after him, and one of his closest friends in football was Thuram. Buffon is not like Di Canio or Abbiati, who publicly proclaimed themselves fascists, and whom I strongly condemn as someone who holds left-wing views and abhors fascism, and I try to inform myself about my country's dark past. Gigi made some stupid mistakes when he was younger, but his actions largely go against those views, and those are isolated incidents for the most part. He is far from being a saint and has made a lot of mistakes, and this isn't a blind defence of his actions, but seeing as a lot of far right-wing political figures are popping up right now, we really need to be careful with whom we describe as being a fascist, because we don't want the public to be desensitised to the term when it is used to describe genuine current far-right-wing political figures like Bolsonaro, Salvini, LePen, Farage, and even Trump to some extent. So next time, please don't just post something provocative to seem edgy and actually go and read some actual reliable news sources, and not tabloids or other fake news sites, and inform yourself before posting things, because spreading misinformation today in a time where fake news is a real problem is very serious, and you should be prepared to be called out if you're wrong.

Would thrive in a team like Leicester i think, has great numbers for a struggling side. On a team with more posession and a striker like Vardy he'd do even better

This fixture was an absolute outrage given the utterly biased refereeing. In the first half Real Madrid was denied a valid goal due to a non-existent foul of Vinicius on Mahrez and Rodrigo should have been sent off with multiple yellow cards. In the second half the first goal of Manchester City should have been annulled due to the push of Jesus against Ramos and the awarded penalty kick was a definite dive from Sterling (he already fell over his legs before Carvajal could even touch him). Last but definitely not least, the red card which was awarded to Ramos was another clear dive from Jesus, as there was barely any contact and Jesus wasn't able to reach the ball anymore. Throughout the entire fixture the referees made sure that Real Madrid wouldn't stand a chance and they succeeded, while they clearly were the better side over both halves and deserved to win, yet lost due to this scandalous behaviour of all the referees. Good work, lads!

We got Gulasci from RB Salzburg and he became a top goalkeeper here We got Mukiele from Montpellier and he became a top right back/centre back here We got Upamecano from RB Salzburg and he wasn't even a full starter there and he became a top centre back here We signed Willi in the second division and look at him now, he's our man (Orban) We signed Konaté from league 2, look how he's developing We had Halsternberg in the second division, look how he's developed We got Klostermann in the second division, look at him now We got Nkunku from PSG because younger players would get less chances, look at how he's developing We got Laimer from RB Salzburg and he's a key part to our team We got Sabitzer from Rapid Wien and look how he's developed We got Poulsen in the third division (!) and look what he's done for us already We got Werner from Stuttgart, he had 6 goals in 33 games for them, for us he scored 21 the season after, look the world class player he's become here We got Forsberg from Malmo, yes he's been less lately, but looking how he developed, he's had an amazing career and at one point was an assist king We got Tyler Adams from New York RB and even though he hasn't played too much, when played he's shown class potential We got Haidara from RB Salzburg and exactly like Adams, when played he's shown class potential We're only helping young players find themselves and becomes better. Keita is at the moment the prime example, we got him, we told him he could leave but had to stay the season, we sold him to Liverpool right that moment, and recently he's been better for Liverpool as well, but we developed him nicely. I love the club, because when I had nobody to watch football with, the club was there growing. I love the club because I was there pretty much day 1. I love the club because beside everything we develop players to make them better people and better players. There's issues I won't talk about, because I find them very minor to life. I know that with RB Leipzig the Bundesliga is more attractive, more young players will develop nicely and will become better people and I know it will help German football all around.

This is the Unanimous view among so many other Football fans except the Biased Manu fans who refuse to acknowledge the shambolic calls given today against us.

I'm not a Chelsea or MU fan and it probably wouldn't have mattered, but the decision in Zouma's goal is appalling. Azpilicueta was clearly pushed by Fred. If anything it should have been a PK
avatar
Should go to REAL MADRID for the last season. I heard that Navas will probably leave for PSG and he will not be longer a Courtois replacement. Casillas will be 39 years old next year and he broke his career due heart attack. He can no longer play as often as last season, so the role of a substitute would be perfect. And it should be noted that Buffon returned to Juventus for his last season as a substitute for Szczęsny. Despite all the way fucking Perez got rid of Casillas in 2015, I think Iker would agree to act as a substitute, after all this is his BELOVED CLUB. And finally I would like to see Real-Juventus match, farewell to Iker and Gianluigi, two legends. I say this as a Barcelona fan. What do you think about it????? Is it POSSIBLE??

Doesn’t deserve racist abuse. Neither does any player of colour. Respect for what he did today.

This fucking disgusts me , Marega should have much more support from the reffere and the vitória players, smh. We are with you MAREGA!!!! #STOPRACISM

Good on this guy for making a statement and walking off the pitch for dealing with the racist abuse. Fact the referee wasn't doing shit is a joke

Iwobi had 4 years left on his contract, was leaving a club he was with since primary school and homegrown, being sold to another team in the PL. Whereas Eriksen had 6 months left, wanted to leave for like a year, wasn't wanted by the managers because of his lack luster performances and was sold out of the league to a non-rival really.

I hate how once an attacking/central midfielder is doing well in real life, EA improve all their "traditional" midfielder stats, like vision, even when that's not their style of play and are no playmakers at all irl. They then end up with higher passing stats than players who are less highly-rated, but are in fact true playmakers irl, e.g. Jonjo Shelvey. They did the same with Ramsey and Alli in their respective prime. They're decent passers, don't get me wrong, but what truly sets them apart is their movement to, and around the box. Same goes with Van de Beek.

Jahanbakhsh has always had the ability... His first season under Hughton was a bit of a fluke: 1)Brighton was ultra-defensive 2)Their 2nd leading goal scorer was a Centerback 3)Jahanbakhsh was out of position (wing back) 4)He was injured 5)He left for the Asian Cup Under Potter however, Brighton look a much more lively team. In his first start under Potter, he has delivered with a beautiful goal and an overall great game! Also props to Aaron Mooy and Neal Maupay, two excellent pickups for Brighton

Him having only 78 Strength is a joke lmaooo, wtf is with fifa and player strength nowadays, Adama , him, multiple others holy shit completely missed it
avatar
Legend
avatar
I've said it two months ago and I will say it again : He needs a big upgrade. I watched every game that Adama played this season and I've been following him for two years over YouTube before the start of this season. People tend to think that Adama only had a couple good games so far ( the ones against ManCity and Tottenham) , but that's just wrong. There hasn't been a single game this season, where Adama didn't play well. He is a constant threat and even when he is not scoring or assisting, he always breaks through the defence and creates space and dangerous situations. Wolves lost against Watford today, but Adama completed 15 (!) Dribblings, which is absolutely unbelievable and in total this season he completed 109 Dribblings and even though they lost today, he showed why he is so important for the team. For now I suppose 77 or 78 would be fine, but if he continues like that, he will reach 80 in no time. Upgrades he would deserve: 98 Acceleration 98 Sprint Speed 88 Agility 90 Balance 68 Finishing 76 Crossing 70 Short Passing 84 Ball Control 92 Dribbling 74 Reactions 87 Shot Power 82 Stamina 89 Strength 67 Long Shots 68 Positioning 73 Vision 74 Composure 3/4 Star Weak Foot Some people might say that 98 pace is ridiculous for a base fifa card, but he truly deserves it and Bolly had 97 pace a few years ago and Adama is definitely faster than he was. By far the fastest player in the world, so the 96 pace that he shares with Mbappe right now is just disrespectful.
avatar
90 strength, 98 sprint and acceleration, 90 balance, 90 dribbling, 80 crossing, 90 shot power, 90 agility i dont even care no more man lmao man is 23, if he keeps developing well, we are all dooooomed, whether in FIFA or in real life we are alllll doomed
avatar
People are overrating his sprint speed. He accelerates very quickly but his short legs and strides make his top speed look faster than it is. People saying 95 sprint speed is ridiculous.
avatar
Man was next level when he came on. Changed the game with an injection of pace and desire. 64/84 or similar deserved.
avatar
Well said

Dortmund was the best move no doubt, I’d argue Leipzig would’ve been an even better move, but at United he wouldn’t have got a lot of service, we’re lacking more creativity than anything. Good luck to Haland and Dortmund, a club that I have a soft spot for and it’s never good to see failed prospects.
avatar
Probably the most talked footballer at the moment, and very deservedly so, he’s been unstoppable this season. I wonder what he did to gain so much muscle without losing agility and balance like Bale did.
