True football fans don't discriminate.

Wow, imagine being such a self-loathing closet homosexual that you want other gay people to die 😔

I usually mock the whole "stunning and brave" narrative from the media and idiots who like to portray as heroes those people who come out and express their sexual / political orientations in environments that are obviously overwhelmingly supportive of them only to try to get credit for it. However, the fact is that in football you never see people come out despite surely at least a small portion of professional footballers being gay. It's easy to deduce that this particular environment is one where people don't feel safe with being open with their teammates about certain things, and as such, I think his coming out was indeed brave. I'm not one to think that anyone's sexual preference should matter and being given much attention to, but I think his words might make other people in this environment more comfortable about theirselves which is no doubt a good thing. Props to you lad.

Respect to him! It’s not easy to come out with all this speculation around 👏

Soucek and Coufal have got it on b4 no doubt

It really makes me sad how much hatred there still is about being gay, especially in football. Almost every game I go to I hear people chanting that the opposition or ref is gay. This comment section too is a great example of how much further we have to go before we can just leave people alone, and live their life in peace.

I mean that’s not what’s happening though is it. People are praising him because he’s had the balls to come out and publicly admit it despite taking part of a community plagued with homophobia and other prejudice. The fact he’s getting praised for coming out should make us reflect on the problems we have as fans in terms of bigotry and not in terms of supporting gay people lol

He is pretty good at dribbling still tho. He isn't exactly Vinicius or Neymar but he did dribble past some players today

Dude, you can google his stats. He's got 1 goal in the league, but 4 in Europa League. Also he has 6 assists across all competitions.
