After defeating Málaga in the Play-Off semi-final, we beat Mallorca 2-0 in the first leg of the final So just one game away from a return to La Liga, just hold on, simple right? Depor lose the second leg 3-0. 2019-20 - A disastrous start to the campaign leaves Depor bottom of La Liga 2 halfway into the season. Luis César is sacked and replaced by Fernando Vazquez, the man who guided Depor to promotion to La Liga back in 2013-14, and well respected by Depor fans. Vazquez turns the club around, 7 wins in a row steer the club clear of relegation, but it wouldn't last. After a poor run of form sees Depor desperately needing to beat Extremadura to stay up. Instead of pushing for more, Borja Jimenez takes of Quiles, our top scorer, and decides to park the bus against Albacete.
