Typical Dortmund Fan

Again like adeyemi it’s really split. We need him so unless there was a direct plan for a worthy replacement we don’t want him to go just because, he is our most creative player and one of our best just his consistency drives us all nuts. Sometimes he’s unplayable then other times he’s invisible. For sure one of the core group of players dortmund should be keeping, there’s only half a dozen or so out of 20 players in that group.
avatar
Him and Kobel with similar statements about the club. Two world class players committed long term, we better not waste all those years https://x.com/bvbnewsblog/status/1797398617994494181?s=46&t=3YDRpZQJ0j1oYqmKy3Ycbg

The best is whenever he plays big teams because our tactic is incredibly low possession and counter attack heavy The worst is whenever he plays mid to bad teams because our tactic is incredibly low possession and counter attack heavy He also is not the best in game manager, making bad subs at bad times
avatar
Really mixed on the forum here, for me personally I need him to be more hungry infront of the net, goals assists etc, 5 goal contributions or whatever he had just isn’t enough. With that being said our offence isn’t very good and he’s our main source of breaking opponents line and lately his work rate has improved massively and he helps out a lot defensively as seen against psg pocketing dembele and hakimi. I’m a little harsh on him because I know what he can do, earlier on in the season his work ethic was questioned because of his body language and he’s bangin some European popstar that I have no idea who she is so his focus was questioned, so really a mixed bag. I think he’s worth giving the staring LW spot to as he’s still young and has all the potential in the world but needs to be better

Also one more question for those who know the youth squad better than I do, would Brunner be good enough to be our 3rd striker next year? I know he’s a prick but he’s already 6’1/6’2 fast strong for his age and could continue to grow as well as play on the wings, if we let mouki and haller go could he help us out at all?
avatar
People acting like this isn’t Karim Adeyemi on the regular. This is what he always does, and he’s always been dangerous until the final product. It’s frustrating, but on the off chance it works it changes the game significantly
avatar
think we need to be all over Gruda, I see him higher than Sancho. would be a statement Reus replacement. I do rate Anton pretty highly but he also shouldn't sit in a super high line.
avatar
That hurt but my soul was already removed last year. Feel much better about the squad than at the beginning of the year! Sabi came good, Ryerson and Maatsen have shown their level is here and Fulkrug is a competitor with a good mentality. We need to pony up for Guirassy, Gruda, Maatsen, Anton, and competition for Ryerson and Can. Sancho loan as well. Big steps needed from Nmencha and Adeyemi in the final third next season.
avatar
A split second decision that would've been a goal for any experienced striker instead of a young winger. A shot that hit the post by Fülkrug. Dominated most of the game, lost to a set piece. That's close in my world. What did you achieve with your billion spending this season?
avatar
The way I see it you have an excellent knockout game team, so I wouldn't worry about the future. What breaks me is to see you come so close to achieving the impossible yet not making it. Marco, although I support the main rival, has been one of my favourite players for over ten years, and just like this the era probably along a part of my childhood ends. Because this time I know he won't get another shot. Reality is often disappointing, I honestly thought I was way past the point things happening in football could ruin my mood
avatar
I don’t mind the loss 10% of what I do mind having the hope of Reus retiring perfectly ripped away on the last game
avatar
terzic saved his career with that CL run. i hope we can get a real manager after next season but i doubt the board will get rid of him anytime soon. mostly cope but i hope we can get klopp once he's back from his break because i can't really think of many other managers thought fit us and would actually leave their current positions for us. on top of that we desperately need to sell half the squad and sign at least 6-7 players that aren't going to rot on the bench while players like can and fullkrug play nearly every game. imo we should sell: - bensebaini (just not good enough) - wolf & morey (these two are leaving as free agents but i doubt we'd miss the combined 2 or 3 mil we would've gotten for them) - ozcan (why did we even buy him) - emre can (pretty obvious) - nmecha (or at least loan him out and give watjen and kamara some games) - fullkrug (did ok but is nowhere close to the quality we need) - haller (can't blame him but no point in keeping him) - moukoko (i really don't want him to leave given how promising he is but terzic seems determined to ruin his career so leaving is his best option and maybe we can scam someone like chelsea for 40-50mil) imo we should be looking at signing: - maatsen / loan extension (highly unlikely chelsea will let him go but surely they need to balance their books (i'm sure there's a FFP does nothing joke to insert here)) - assuming rothe gets loaned out again then we need at least two left backs if we can't get maatsen so: - ferdi kadioglu (might be out of our budget but i like him), milos kerkez (unlikely bournemouth would sell but i've been a fan for a few years now), Quilindschy Hartman (yes i copy and pasted the name), worst case maybe tyrell malacia on loan - right back is hard one because ryerson has been good enough but we need more depth. my first choice would be issa kabore most likely on loan (city fan bias), milan van ewijk (first time seeing him but his stats seem decent and would be really cheap as a back up), kadioglu is right footed so could play here too. - midfield is a mess for us right now but i feel like with watjen we have at least one promising midfielder already at the club. but i think eric martel would be a good pick up. i'd love to get quinten timber but i doubt it'd happen. other than them i think we'd probably have to go around looking for a loan for some of the chelsea midfielders like lavia, ugochokwu or andrey santos. - i've seen people say brajan gruda would make a good reus replacement but i've never seen him play so i'll trust others on that. - another attacking midfielder option because i really don't rate brandt that highly, maybe oscar gloukh? - sancho loan extension would be nice but i don't think we should sign him permanently with bynoe-gittens and duranvillle around and i also don't like how lazy sancho is defensively - guirassy seems pretty likely so not bothered to look at other strikers, maybe hold onto moukoko otherwise give brunner some minutes. i don't think there's many good striker options out there in our price range and we have a few promising strikers already (assuming terzic will ever play them) realistically we sign none of these guys, we don't sell any of the crap players we've got now, terzic stays for another 5 years and i cry in the corner forever
avatar
There’s no controversy for the end result as it was our own fault we just don’t have the squad depth and our subs were extremely questionable and not trying to cry over spilt milk but how the hell did we get yellow cards for literally everything, vini dove and schlotti called it out and got booked happened like anytime and carvajal the rat cunt doesn’t even end with a yellow after multiple offences???? He’s so hateable and then vini doing his dumb cocky shit, I remeber the incident with kimmich during a throw in a few weeks ago, all the hate he gets is warranted yes he’s one of the best but horrendous attitude and anytime fans (Barca mostly) lash out at him for being a arrogant prick he claims racism and pulls the victim card, I don’t even hate Madrid but vini and caravajal can rot in hell honestly man. The only thing that made me beat red more than the loss, no class from those 2, both them scoring made it even worse.
avatar
Had to let them get their last UCL before we start our 20 year dominance of Europe and inevitably surpass them in football history
avatar
Carva such a cunt and same with vini then he pulls the race card and victim card when he gets hate, he’s so hate able
avatar
For me not maatsen but Sancho yes he doesn’t have the pace we need, maatsen was supposed to mark carvajal on the goal and then gave away the second but he’s been so good for us and he’s young he makes mistakes,
avatar
arsenal fan saying we bottled? nah bro your an fucking dumbass
avatar
Although I’m very disappointed, atleast it didn’t go down to reffing or us just playing horribly, second goal was super uncalled for and the way the ref gave us instant yellows was super weird and carvajal the prick I want his head more than I want vinis, how did carvajal not get a yellow makes 0 sense So weird anyways at the end of the day terzic subs really hurt us, if you’re going to take out our only pace that was clearly working atleast sub Malen or JBG on for him we looked dead with 0 pace needs to be addressed and we just don’t have the midfield depth to compete with Madrid, no one does, but poor games from maatsen, Brandt and Sancho really costed us today but my heads still head high hopefully we can push this summer and be back next year, heja bvb!!!!!

You are a BVB fan for life. There is no alternative.

You should be proud, it was a very good game for both parts!

Proud of our team, now it’s time to recover and prepare for next season 💛🖤
avatar
Today we may be sad. But tomorrow we realise that we did an amazing job this season in CL. THANKS FOR THE RUN AND FOREVER THANKFUL FOR REUS ❤️
avatar
Played RM off the pitch for 65-70 min but could score in the first half and it cost them still an amazing performance
avatar
Proud of the team :)
avatar
I speak for everyone when i say we are all Dortmund tonight💪🏻
avatar
They aren't starting Tchouaméni or Militão so get in there and score the 1st two goals, choke Jude and Vini Jr out of the match and then close down the 2nd half when they start adapting. Yes a bit of luck as well, but this is achievable. Come on BvB!
avatar
I took a look at our U23s for next season, right now we'd have 4 GKs, 5 CBs, 3 LBs, 2 RBs, 2 DMs, 3 CMs, 2 AMs, 1 LW, 3 RWs and 3 STs according to transfermarkt. With the appointment of Broich I am expecting to implement a system (so 433/4231) and tactic for all youth teams, including the U23s GK: Lotka could want a move after 2 years with our U23s, Greg is the clear No. 1 and with Meyer we have a very decent second choice keeper. If he leaves it would be a very important step to give Silas the spot instead of signing someone new, not because he is a great talent but mainly because we really lacked playing our own talents and this would be a good place to start. Not happy with the back ups but it is what it is, the U19s don't have anyone either who would be worth promoting. Zacharias was rated quite highly a few years ago but his contract is running out and he lost his spot to Lisweski after getting smashed 6:0 by Hoffenheim in september Defense: The CB situation is quite good. Pfanne and Irorere are the only CBs left from last season. Mane gets promoted from the U19s and will probably get the game time here while he trains with the pros and jumps in when needed. New signing Yannik Lührs from Hannover could be the Papa replacement and play a similar role to Mane. We also signed Ben Hüning but that seems like pure squad depth The RB position is a bit thin, Lion Semic left, Patrick Göbel is 30 and there is noone from the U19s that could make the jump right now. We signed a DM from Hamburg, Felix Paschke, who is going to play there because he#s fast and played there for the national team according to Ingo Preuß. Let's see how this turns out We are (too) stacked on LBs tho. Bueno should be the starter, Aning plays no role due to injuries and I can't judge the new signing Mogultay. What i do know is that Kabar will need a perspective rather sooner than later. Midfield: We have a little problem with our DMs. There were a few rumors about Kamara leaving and I honestly think this would be the best for him. Injuries hindered his progression a lot and a new environment + a team where he starts week in week out could be good for him. Now to the problem: with him leaving we would only have Lubach as a DM, the new signing Paschke can play there too but this would leave us with only 1 RB again. If we don't sign someone it might be worth to give Posadas the chance to claim that position. He usually plays as a CB but I am pretty sure he used to play as a DM earlier in his career. Apart from that he is too old to play for the U19s and if nothing crazy happens he'll join the second team anyways Pohlmann might leave as well, Werder is interested and he is quite clearly too good for the 3rd league. Wätjen might be the most obvious replacement but I have the feeling that we'll see him in the first team squad quite often. I have my doubts about Roggow as well as Jessen and the U19s don't have a CM to promote Krevsun and Eberwein are our AMs and I think I am quite happy with that actually Attack: When your best goalscorer is your midfielder you know that you lack quality in attack Hettwer and Elongo-Yombo were the only once that delivered the rest was disappointing. We have a young dude named Jordi Paulina from the Netherlands coming in who is mainly a winger but can play as a AM as well according to transfermarket. Noa-Gabriel Simic is returning from his loan but I don't have high hopes at the moment I think here it is a no brainer to promote Brunner and Campbell. The two stand out players for our U19s after Wätjen and Mane but both of them have quite a way to go before being ready to play with the pros.
avatar
I think the most frustrating part about Terzic is that we don't have basis to hate him unconditionally. Every one of us are pretty much in agreement that we hate this playstyle and that we want him gone. However, the last piece of silverware we've had was under Terzic. The closest we've gone to ever gotten to the Bundesliga in 11 years was Terzic. The best defense I've ever seen us play under was Terzic. The closest we've been to CL glory since Klopp was Terzic. He still has massive favouritism, loses the dumbest fucking games, made some stupid transfers (Felix lol), horrible at developing talents, lost the dressing room to the point that Hummels is gonna leave, and yet we can't fully complain because of all the success he's given us

Would be very bad for us if he leaves not only because he‘s a great player, we also don‘t have much money to replace him. IF he leaves Querfeld would be the best option because he‘d only cost around 2,5m. Huijsen isn‘t a good defender for a back 4 imo, he‘d be better as a RCB in a back 3 or as a CDM

Reus had his last game for the club Sancho, Malen and Maatsen all potentially had theirs A 4-0 win has never been this depressing
avatar
Goal and assist today in his last home match. 19 goals/assists in 40 matches. Not even a regular starter. One of his worst season by stats etc would still be something to celebrate for other players. Just shows his level. If he did this in Bremen, Gladbach or somewhere else, he would have been a regular starter for sure. Wish you all the best, legend! Dortmund goat!

He's the fucking goat

We’re gonna lose in Marco Reus’ farewell game against Darmstadt and win against Madrid aren’t we Nothing would be more Dortmund

Morey and wolf leaving is one step in the right direction Hopefully it continues

1. Shouldn’t matter, if we lost they would’ve called us sore losers anyway 2. They are in the wrong so we have every right to sue 3. Any opportunity to fuck PSG over is a good opportunity

But.. You just compared them, didnt you? You took Garnachos skill-set and compared it with Amads skill-set, and concluded with that they not have the same kind of skill-set.

This is good, Var kills enjoyment

Boy oh boy where do I even begin, King Tross... honey, my pookie bear, the way you drive into the box and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth touch around the ball, and those gorgeous headers. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you retire. I forever dread and weep, thinking of a day you will one day retire I would sacrifice my own life it were the only thing that could put a smile on your beautiful face. You have given me so much joy, and heartbreak over the years. I remember when you first left Brighton and it’s like my heart got broken into a million pieces. But a tear still fell from my right eye when I watched you win your first Match in Arsenal, I just wanted you to return home. Then allas, you did, my sweet baby boy came home and I rejoiced. Not only have you changed the game of football and the world forever, but you’ve eternally changed my world. And now you’re getting older, but still the goat, my goat. I love you pookie bear, my glorious king, King Tross. 🥰🥰❤️

We have to win this game 1. for Koln, 2. To enact revenge on Mainz. A loss here for them makes them significantly more fucked for relegation
avatar
Ya know maybe this is complete delusions speaking and I know Real Madrid are heavy favorites but. I don’t see us losing this final. I don’t know why.
avatar
What a great reminder that we haven’t won shit yet. We felt on top of the world before Mainz, right? Nothing matters anymore except for one game. We can lose out the rest of our Bundesliga games for all I care

Niklas Füllkrug vs Joselu in the CL Final. Tell any Hannover 96 fan from 8-10 years ago that these two would face off in a CL final and they'd think you are crazy.

Im pretty optimistic on winning the UCL, no matter who joins us in the final We’ve shown that we can beat Bayern a few months ago. 2013 was a close match aswell. Very tough opponent but we can beat them. Real is another level. We know how it goes. Their football isn’t great. But their efficiency is crazy and they are unbeatable in UCL most of the time But it’s not that one sided. If I look at our head to head with Real, most of the time we’ve really gave them a very good fight. It’s really a head to head we shouldn’t be ashamed of. Also, if I look at the opponents Real faced this season… most of them play attacking high pressure football (even if a littler safe since it’s Real but still). They mostly got dominated but still won. I don’t think that will be the case with us. Our playstyle is something they haven’t really faced this year. And our playstyle is incredibly frustrating to the opponent. We’re still the underdogs whoever is our opponent, but that’s a privilege we had all season in the UCL. Nothing to lose. We should all be optimistic going into the game on June 1st.
