Honestly, as much as I personally dislike Dembele at this stage, what has he actually done to disrespect the club? It’s in his right to ask for what he thinks he deserves (even if it’s deluded). While I don’t want to pay him that, I have to praise his professionalism. This time it is not the defense's fault, since dejong and judgla were taken out by depay and abde the team stopped generating danger and there was no longer a 9 that could hold the ball to go long. When Barça gets rid of their short term debt then we can start investing normally again just like Real Madrid. We are still one of the Richest Clubs in the world in terms of revenue. 1 or 2 years max and the short term debt is gone. The 1.2 Billion will be paid in like 30 years just like Madrid's 900 million. Hey there, Basel fan here. Barcelona doesn't have a player who can really score goals apart from Depay, from whom much more is needed than just goals. I've watched quite a few Barça matches this season and they play hella boring up front, no courage at all. He could be a good addition to the squad because he brings with him a remarkable drive towards goal. For Basel he scored headers, volleys, overhead kicks, longshots and tap-ins and he's been very reliable to deliver so far. It's very clear he's ready for the next step and normally that would be a team like Gladbach or Levekusen, but considering the miserable state Barça is in, it makes sense for them to look out for players like him. For what Barça is right now, he'd be mighty fine player, for Barça's ambitions not so much.
