This in my opinion is the most realistic team ten Hag could go for that would work. Lacey & Amass aren't in the game yet so you can replace them with similar youth players. Can't wait till EA add more of Man Utd's U18s. ten Hag won't get rid of this many players in my opinion, but I can hope...
About the team: ten Hags team play higher up the pitch, we currently rank 3rd for most possessions won in the opponents half, where we are going wrong is not having the right number 6s, full backs and CB's to play higher up the pitch, therefore teams can just playthrough our midfield. LBs/RBs need to be comfortable playing inverted or overlapping, CB's need to be able to defend in front of them and to the side to cover the full backs if they are up the pitch, that means the CDM has to be comfortable dropping into a back 3 at times. McTominay is better as a CF to bring on when we need a late goal so I haven't put him in midfield. Evans is also needed to stay in a coaching role as we are bringing in younger CB's. He will only play if we are super desperate.
Ins (£218.5m):
- Michael Olise (£55m): This is an obvious one, a United fan and one of the best wingers in the world right now, has to be done, also an unselfish player and has great work rates.
- Ross Barkley (Free): People will hate this because of who he is, but the truth is he has been quality for Luton this season, can be great rotation and depth for Mainoo. Can't go wrong on a free.
- Lewis Hall (£25m): With Dan Ashworth set to be joining United, he knows the talent of Hall, who hasn't been in favour at Newcastle. Luke Shaw has only completed 50% of games every season he's been at United, so he can start, but he will definitely become injured and either Lewis Hall or Harry Amass can step up.
Fabio Chiarodia (£10m): Not the biggest of names, but future Martinez replacement potentially, have watched some of his highlights and he looks like a great prospect, it's time we buy these players whilst they're cheap, rather than wait till he's £80m.
- Jean-Claire Todibo (£35m): An easily made transfer as INEOS owns Nice. A great player on the ball, physical and pace, everything ten Hag wants in a CB, fairly young too.
- Tosin Adarabioyo (Free): Jason Willcox helped developed him when he was head of City's academy. On a free transfer he would offer great depth and even be a start if Martinez gets injured again, or rival Todibo for a place.
- Vitinho (£8m): Good rotation for Dalot, leaving relegated Burnley so could snap up for a cheap figure.
- Palhinha (£55m): Was about to leave for Bayern, so his heart is not with Fulham and would likely leave for a bigger club. Amazing player, what we've needed for so long. Covers loads of ground, physical, leader and we can get the best out of him for a few years.
- Vinicious Souza (£15m): Solid rotation for Palhinha, leaving a relegated Sheffield United so like Vitinha, should be an easy process to bring him to OT. I like what I see whenever I watch him.
- Jeanuel Belocian (£15m): Rotation for Martinez really, versatile and can play LB too, but also can rival Chiarodia for a starting place in the future.
- Marius Courcoul (£0.5m): Only 16 years old, has a bright future and he can most likely join the U18's for now.
Next season:
- Simone Pafundi (£25m): With INEOS' ownership of Lausanne, this transfer should not be difficult. He can certainly be the Bruno Fernandes replacement.
- James Trafford: (£20m): Monitor keeper as potential Onana replacement.
Outs: £224m
- Raphael Varane (free)
- Harry Maguire (£30m)
- Victor Lindelof (£15m)
