After a successful year at Dortmund, the board have decided to give Tuchel a 3-year extension, knowing they made the right decision when they chose not to sack him after 2017. Tuchel makes several new signings, including Schulz, Brandt, Hazard, Hummels, and the robot himself Erling Haaland in January. Haaland and Auba form a lethal strike partnership which leaves defenses in ruins. However this also demotes a lot of star players to the bench, forcing Tuchel to rotate more. They start the season flying high on top of the table, but it all changed when covid hit. Dortmund were knocked out of the CL by PSG, and by Bremen again in the Pokal. Bayern become unstoppable under Hansi Flick and win the treble, and lots of money is lost due to the effects of the pandemic. It's a disappointing and trophyless year for Dortmund and Tuchel, but they did manage to secure the Norwegian monster, and they aren't ready to give up now...
